Appointments are made during business hours. We suggest you make your appointments at least a month in advance.

We ask you limit the number of family members at your visits. Please do not leave children unattended at any of your visits.

Disability and Pregnancy

Most of our pregnant mothers can continue to work until late in pregnancy without any complications. Sometimes, however, the physical changes that occur during pregnancy can cause difficulties. Please let us know if you have any concerns; we can evaluate the situation and discuss options to best fit your needs and health of your baby. If you should be placed on disability or medical leave, you will need to obtain forms from your employer. There is a $25 fee for processing the disability forms. We ask you allow 7 – 10 business days for completion of these documents.

Sonograms/Ultrasounds

Ultrasounds/Sonograms are done when medically indicated:

  • Assist in determining due date
  • Check on growth of the fetus
  • Assess bleeding or cramping
  • Survey the baby and the placenta

A first trimester ultrasound may be performed to visualize your baby’s heart beat and to determine due date. About 20 to 22 weeks an ultrasound will screen for major birth defects; determine the position of the placenta and asses growth of baby.

Our Sonographers do not allow anyone under the age of 10 in the room while they are performing the ultrasound. Patients may bring their own DVD-R to record the ultrasound.

We are the only office in Lima, that has received accreditation to perform ultrasounds by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine.

Go to the website www.aium.org for specifics.

Testimony

I have seen three other physicians before coming to Alliance For Women's Health. Many days my symptoms were unbearable.  After seeking treatment I feel as though I have been given my life back.  Do I feel it was worth it?  ABSOLUTELY!
