Obstetrics and Gynecology

A Women's Health nurse practitioner is a R.N. (Registered Nurse) who has completed specialty training in both obstetrics and gynecology. The education process provides her with health problem solving capabilities that enable her to offer a high level of health care to women.
As a nurse practitioner, I function as an integral part of our practice and perform many diagnostic and therapeutic tasks. These tasks include routine exams and pap smears, pre-natal and post-partum exams and gynecological problems. In addition I am trained to counsel patients in birth control, sexually transmitted diseases, PMS, menopause, PCOS , infertility, with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
My journey as a women's health nurse practitioner has led to opportunities to affect the lives of many women. I consider it a privilege to meet new women daily and provide health care and education in a caring and knowledgeable way.
I believe my most important responsibility is to help my patients make appropriate, educated health care choices.
I feel that my years of experience as a nurse and mother of three grown children has helped me relate to and offer medical care and advice to mothers and daughters in all phases of their lives.
To my current patients, I thank you for allowing and trusting me to care for you over the past 17 years. To our future patients, I look forward to and feel privileged that you have chosen me and our practice to take care of and make a difference in your health care needs.
